MAPS（spモードシステム）では電話番号で認証して、IPアドレスでユーザーを識別している。これは他社も同様だと思うし、世界の通信事業者もそうだと思う。この点はドコモ特有だとは思っていない。
ただ、spモードの接続シーケンスにはドコモ特有の動作があり、特に今回はその点に落ち度があった。
