3社の子会社であるソニーモバイルディスプレイ、東芝モバイルディスプレイ、日立ディスプレイズの発行済み株式を新会社に譲渡し、新会社は官民共同ファンドの産業革新機構（INCJ）が引き受ける総額2000億円の第三者割当増資を実施。新会社の議決権比率はINCJが70％、3社が10％ずつになる見込み。
